Ciao for now dear Waterbury

By on 8:43 PM

We packed up our things in the morning and stayed by the pool until Orsola got home from work. We said a teary farewell to the family...it was a lovely time catching up with them all...a little different than last time with an extra little person in tow but it was a memorable time.

Driving off down the street, we could see Nonno with his walking frame still in the garage waving goodbye ...wiping the tears away.

We'll see him again, I'm sure of that.

2 hour drive North with our hired Dodge Evenger and into the City that never sleeps. The Noise, the mammoth buildings, the number of people and the atmosphere still takes my breath away. I love being here. Theres something very different about this place than any other in the world.

From our room window, we can practically touch the Chrysler building. Wow...can't wait to draw that when Luca is napping tomorrow.
